A much needed 7 month update

Hello!  I’ve ignored this blog for 7 months, and for that I am a terrible blogger.  I’m ok with that, because this blog is really just for me.  And the people who like to snoop on my life.  So, like the last wordy post I will give a brief summary month by month.

(May) I started my last co-op at Feasels.  It’s in Findlay and they do grounds maintenance, sell plants, and do landscape design.  It was a really awesome time, and I learned a lot!  I even have a handful of my own landscape designs that were installed.  For example, the McDonald’s on Trenton Ave.  That was me.  All me. By myself. (I’m a little proud of that)  Also, this is the month that Titus came home!!!!  Here’s some pics from the day we went to get him.  Also, he was only 8 lbs.

At first, all he did was sleep all day.

He did really well in the car ride home.

When we got home, he slept in my lap.

(June)  Not much happened here.  I was still working at Feasels.  Boring month, really.

(July)  At the end of the month I ended my summer at Feasels, which was wonderful!  I really don’t like working full time.

This was in honor of me. Because I'm awesome.

(August)  For most of the month, I vacationed!  Tim and I went to Mohican and camped with Titus.  He did awesome in the canoe.  We also discovered that we didn’t need as much stuff as we thought we did.  I guess I’m just not a luxurious camper.  Also, story time:  On the canoe ride, Tim thought it would be a great idea to try to steer the boat under some tree branches.  Well, we ended up steering INTO them and it rained spiders.  It was like a nightmare in real life!  Poor Titus was confused because we were freaking out.

First canoe ride! He tried to sit on my lap. Also, my canoe seat broke. =/

15 miles! Packed a lunch and took all day.

Then we went to SC with Tim’s family while Titus went to stay with our friends Paul & Joy (they have 2 goldens, so Titus got to make some friends)  This was my first time swimming in the ocean!  But we were there all day every day for 5 days, and that’s just too much.  No adventure, just laying around doing nothing… Not my thing.  Unless its for only a couple hours, not all day. But I still had fun!

And then school started.  End of summer fun. =(

(September)  More school, and I can’t really remember if anything important happened.

(October)  The best thing that happened was Fall Getaway!  It was sad because it was my last one, but still fun.  I had the privilege of doing the snack shopping for all the people.

(November)  Oh hey! That’s now!! You’re all caught up. This month hasn’t contained anything important enough to note.  Titus is around 60 lbs. already!

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

Today I made my own coffee creamer.  I didn’t expect it to be life-changing, but it turned out that way!  I combined two recipes from Pintrest and came up with this:

IMG_2204

Pumpkin Spice Creamer

14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
14 oz. milk (any kind)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. pumpkin spice
½ tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. canned pumpkin
4 tbsp. maple syrup

Blend all these things together (I used my whisk attachment for my handheld blender) & store in the refrigerator.  Add it to your coffee by the spoonful, but the amount of spoonfuls is up to you!

I don’t have any idea how long this will last in the fridge, but I will update this post when I find out!  My guess is a couple weeks.

Update: This makes a lot (a little over 3 ½ cups), so I suggest sharing with someone if you don’t use a heavy cream to coffee ratio.
